Position: PIC Process R&D Engineer (80-100%)Location: Zürich, SwitzerlandPosition SummaryAs a PIC Process R&D Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing process modules for our TFLN-based PIC platforms. Your work will be instrumental in advancing our cutting-edge technologies from concept through to production.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Development: Design, develop, and implement innovative process modules for TFLN-based PICs within advanced R&D and production cleanroom environments.Experimental Work: Conduct experiments and process trials, analyze data, and validate new processes to enhance performance and yield.Collaboration: Work closely with design and optical testing teams, contributing to cross-functional projects to advance PIC technologies.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of process development, report findings, and apply process control methods (e.g., 6-Sigma, Cpk) to optimize yield and qualify processes.Process Integration: Assist in integrating new processes into production workflows, ensuring they meet the highest quality and reliability standards.Innovation: Stay updated on advancements in photonics, incorporating new techniques and technologies into process development.What You’ll BringEducational Background: Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 3 years in integrated photonics process development, with hands-on experience in TFLN, silicon, SiN photonics, or related platforms.
