Main Purpose: We are looking for an outstanding Oil Strategic Systems Programme Manager in Geneva, to own the end-to-end delivery of the new Oil & LNG trading solution, orchestrating multiple programmes across front-, mid- and back-office functions. Drive planning, governance and execution so that the solution lands on time, on budget, and fully integrated within a complex multi-application landscape.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Math, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferredOver 10 years of IT experience with a strong focus on IT projects within the commodity trading domain.At least 5 years of proven experience managing large-scale programmesDeep understanding of commodity trading processes, including physical and financial trading, risk management, logistics, and back-office operationsDemonstrable experience in improving internal IT processes for increased efficiencyExperience in various IT roles such as engineering, architecture, quality assurance, and business analysis is advantageousStrong proficiency in programme and project management methodologies and toolsFamiliarity with key technology principles, including architecture, technology strategy, technology operations, software engineering, and continuous improvementProven ability to lead cross-functional distributed teams in a dynamic, multi-cultural environmentOutstanding skills in influencing mid and senior-level management to make tactical and strategic decisionsOutstanding judgment and ability to evaluate options under unparalleled circumstancesProven expertise in delivering concurrent activities with tight deadlinesHigh level of integrity, energy, and urgency to get resultsExcellent teamwork and the ability to influence and engage othersComfortable presenting information in both virtual and in-person environmentsKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and AlignmentEnsure continuous alignment between organisational goals and programme objectivesProgramme Coordination and ManagementOwn the programme plan and coordinate all associated activities to achieve programme goalsManage programme timelines, deliverables, and interdependent projectsFacilitate collaboration among project teams and manage programme risksIdentify and enforce programme adherence to standards and governanceMonitoring and EvaluationGuide the PMO team in supervising program activities and revising the program planIdentify, measure, and monitor important metricsResolve program problems and delays, optimizing internal processes to improve performanceManage the programme budget efficientlyCommunication and Stakeholder ManagementDesign and supervise the communication strategy for interested partiesProvide updates on program status and performance to the executive team and senior business leadersEnsure user feedback is incorporated into the programmeLeadership and Team CoordinationAct as project manager for the product management team, ensuring key deliverables are achievedContinuously refine internal processes to shorten time to market, enhance quality, lower costs, and elevate value delivery to business team membersKey Relationships and Department Overview:DepartmentTrafigura is dedicated to building and maintaining world-class IT applications and infrastructure.
