- Designing and Implementing Customized Research Data Management Systems: Developing specialized solutions that cater to the unique demands of medical and clinical research projects, ensuring seamless integration and efficient management of complex data sets.
- Data Integration and Analysis: Merging data from diverse sources to create cohesive, interoperable datasets that facilitate comprehensive analyses using modern methodologies.
- Ensuring Data Security and Compliance: Maintaining the highest standards of data security, safeguarding sensitive information, and ensuring compliance with Swiss and European data protection regulations, including FADP and GDPR.
- Facilitating FAIR Data Sharing: Promoting Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) to ensure that research data is as open as possible and as restricted as necessary, including controlled access mechanisms for sensitive data.
- Implementing Data Management Plans: Creating and executing comprehensive data management strategies that cover the entire lifecycle of research data, from collection and storage to sharing and preservation.
- Ensuring Data Quality and Reproducibility: Implementing rigorous standards and protocols to guarantee that data meets the highest quality benchmarks, facilitating robust and reproducible research findings.
- Systems Architecture: Lead the development of cutting-edge data management systems, tailoring them to support the complex needs of biomedical research.
- Data Policy Enforcement: Implement and monitor adGroup Leadherence to data governance policies, ensuring data is managed, shared, and stored in compliance with FAIR principles and regulatory requirements.
- Security & Compliance: Guide our projects to enhance data security, safeguard privacy, and ensure all data practices meet global standards and regulations.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data management professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaborative teamwork.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to align data management strategies with research goals.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources within the group, including budgeting and financial reporting, to maximize efficiency and achieve project objectives.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading data management or related projects in a biomedical, clinical, or similar scientific field, with a strong focus on team development and project management.
- Expertise in Data Management: Deep understanding of data management principles, including designing data architectures, implementing data governance standards, and promoting FAIR data practices.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with data protection laws and standards relevant to biomedical research, such as GDPR, HIPAA, HRA, and FADP.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholder groups and leading cross-functional teams. English proficiency is required, German is a strong plus.
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Data Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with significant professional experience in data management roles.
- Cross-disciplinary collaborations: Engage with experts from various fields, including software engineering, bioinformatics, and lab automation, to drive the development of integrative solutions that advance personalized health technologies.
