We're partnered with a leading energy trading house in Switzerland, looking to strengthen their analytics function with the hire of a Power Analyst. This is a key role supporting the trading desk with data-driven insights, model development, and market analysis across European power markets (focus on Continental & Nordics).You'll sit at the heart of the trading floor, working closely with traders, quants, and risk to drive market understanding and trading performance through tools, forecasts, and analysis.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain fundamental models to support trading strategies (supply/demand, price forecasting, flow modelling)Analyse European power markets, particularly Continental and Nordic regionsMonitor market developments, regulatory changes, and trading flowsBuild tools and dashboards to visualise key market trends and dataCollaborate cross-functionally with traders, tech, and risk teamsRequirements:3+ years of experience in an analytical or modelling role within energy trading or utilitiesStrong grasp of European power markets fundamentals (flows, generation, renewables, etc.)Solid coding skills - Python preferredQuantitative background (maths, physics, engineering, etc.)Located in Switzerland or open to relocating
