- Project Leadership: Successfully drive projects for innovative new measuring systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and timelines
- Sensor Integration: Integrate diverse industrial sensors (e.g., laser scanners, GNSS receivers, inertial measuring units, total stations, cameras) into robust and accurate measurement systems for infrastructure applications
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Application Engineers to define project scope and create detailed technical specifications
- Supplier Management: Evaluate and manage external suppliers of specialized technologies and development services, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency
- Validation & Release: Define rigorous validation procedures and acceptance criteria, manage testing processes, and oversee the release of developed hardware and software products
- Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive product documentation to support market introduction and customer understanding
- Innovation Pipeline Contribution: Obtain and analyse customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement
- Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with strong mechatronics focus), Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar engineering role within the measurement technology or related industry, demonstrating the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results
- Strong interest and initiative in developing innovative measurement solutions specifically for infrastructure (tunneling, railway, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and networked thinking skills, with the ability to understand and integrate complex systems involving software, sensors, mechanics, and electronics across various measurement platforms (portable trolleys, rail-mounted systems, drones)
- Basic proficiency in programming languages relevant for prototyping and data analysis (e.g., Java, MATLAB, Python, C++)
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English are essential for our international environment. Proficiency in other languages is advantageous
