As the world`s largest R&D spender in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally.We are looking for a Scientific Communications Manager for a 12 months contract (with high possibility for extension) to be based in Zug area, Switzerland.Main Responsibilities:Publication Strategy and Development
Responsible for establishing and maintaining Publication Strategies with cross-functional input, ensure timely execution of plans
Lead cross functional collaboration efforts with scientific communications, organize and lead meetings, develop content decks to ensure alignment of communication plans
Manage the publication development process, including review and tracking of individual publications using the current publication management tool
Ensure internal communications around published and presented publications; announcements, spotlight summaries
Engage with external health care professionals and medical communication agencies
Effectively manage and maximize impact with available resources
Other Scientific Communications Activities
Engage with medical experts and internal stakeholders, and provide overarching scientific input and advice on therapeutic area
Medical education: participate in company educational events for HCPs, and provide overarching scientific expertise and advice on: Medical slide decks, Unmet communication needs, Distilling scientific content for the appropriate target audience
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
Master's or PhD/PharmD/MD degree preferred in Biomedical Sciences
Medical communications or publications management experience in diagnostics
Strong project and stakeholder management skills and excellent knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidelines
Min. 1 year previous work experience in medical or scientific communications
Experience in diagnostics
Experience with strategic publication planning
Understanding of diagnostics industry and regulatory guidelines; competency and enthusiasm to review, communicate and implement Good Publication Practice standards
CMPP certification is an advantage
Native proficiency and excellent writing and editing skills in English
Proven coaching and teaching skills; creativity and ability to find solutions in complex teams as well as strong stakeholder management skills are key assets
Strategic ability, attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
Great communication and people skills; energetic, friendly and dynamic personality
