- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Retail Development Project Leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Act as the first line of operational decision-making and escalate strategic issues to the Head of Retail Environment when required
- Ensure equitable workload distribution, resource planning, and ongoing performance management of the team
- Provide mentorship, professional development, and training to strengthen project management capabilities within the team
- Oversee the global pipeline of retail store development projects, ensuring consistency in execution and adherence to brand and operational standards
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across all team projects, ensuring alignment with departmental KPIs
- Conduct regular project reviews with Project Leaders to ensure proactive problem-solving, risk management, and on-time delivery
- Strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders (operations, sales, store design, vm) and external vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Oversee vendor performance management, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, quality standards, and budgetary targets
- Standardize processes, tools, and best practices across the team to enhance efficiency and scalability of project delivery
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements
- Drive innovation in retail environment development by integrating new technologies, sustainable materials, and cost-efficient solutions.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field
- You have 10+ years of experience in retail store development, with at least 5 years in a team leadership or line management role
- You have a proven track record overseeing large-scale, multi-market retail development projects from design through to store opening
- You have a strong financial acumen with experience in budget development, cost control, and ROI analysis
- You demonstrate proficiency with project management tools and design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; Rhinoceros 3D/VRay a plus)
- You have a deep knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices
