Retail Environment Development Team Leader

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Retail Development Project Leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
• Act as the first line of operational decision-making and escalate strategic issues to the Head of Retail Environment when required
• Ensure equitable workload distribution, resource planning, and ongoing performance management of the team
• Provide mentorship, professional development, and training to strengthen project management capabilities within the team

• Oversee the global pipeline of retail store development projects, ensuring consistency in execution and adherence to brand and operational standards
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across all team projects, ensuring alignment with departmental KPIs
• Conduct regular project reviews with Project Leaders to ensure proactive problem-solving, risk management, and on-time delivery

• Strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders (operations, sales, store design, vm) and external vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Oversee vendor performance management, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, quality standards, and budgetary targets

• Standardize processes, tools, and best practices across the team to enhance efficiency and scalability of project delivery
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements
• Drive innovation in retail environment development by integrating new technologies, sustainable materials, and cost-efficient solutions.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field
• You have 10+ years of experience in retail store development, with at least 5 years in a team leadership or line management role
• You have a proven track record overseeing large-scale, multi-market retail development projects from design through to store opening
• You have a strong financial acumen with experience in budget development, cost control, and ROI analysis
• You demonstrate proficiency with project management tools and design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; Rhinoceros 3D/VRay a plus)
• You have a deep knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices
