We help drive pharmaceutical and medical innovation and are integral to the development of innovative treatments for patients.This position is rooted in the Data Products & Platforms Chapter of Data & Analytics (D&A), which brings together the comprehensive skill set needed to develop, implement, manage, and advance our digital framework and the extensive data infrastructure across pRED. We enhance the full scientific data pipeline from structured data capture to powerful data integration and efficient data interrogation to create and develop successful drug molecules as efficiently as possible.The OpportunityAs a Solution Architect in D&A, you'll be responsible for designing, analyzing, and future-proofing digital solutions. Your role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Data & Analytics community to deliver integrated digital products that support our mission of digital transformation in pharmaceutical research, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure.We are looking for a future-oriented talent to join us in contributing to the digital transformation of pharmaceutical research via innovative and impactful solutions with a focus on cloud infrastructure.Work alongside pRED’s scientists to develop data solutions that support our research chain effectively.Lead the development of digital solutions that meet sophisticated research requirements, focusing on data accuracy and consistency to FAIR principles.Guide our strategy on using advanced infrastructure, including cloud services and non-relational databases, aligning with Roche's IT standards.You will establish and nurture effective partnerships with research IT specialists, external companies, and our scientists.Join a motivated, international team where you have the autonomy to contribute and grow professionally.Who you areWith a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, your passion for creating unparalleled digital experiences is matched only by your proven track record in navigating the complexities of the pharma/life science space.Experienced in leading the analysis, design, and rollout of end-to-end solutions comprising components of producing, transporting, consuming, processing, presenting, and storing data, knowledge of compliance methodologies (data privacy, data security, risk assessment, GxP, CSV) would be considered as a plus.Skilled in using cloud services, designing APIs, continuous deployment, and modern hosting technologies.You have proven to navigate consciously between strategic conceptual thinking and detail-oriented planning for capability and capacity.Experienced in agile environments and matrix organizations, you value teamwork and building effective partnerships.If you are proud of contributing and feel you have the dedication to partnership and innovation that we are seeking, then Roche is the organization for you!
