The Design Office Assistant Intern will support the developing of all design activities for womenswear lines.She/He will also support presentations of the line to merchants and sales teams in adoption and proto reviews.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Woman Designer Team in the following daily activities:
Seasonal Woman design
Trend search
Research fabric and body styles and implement garment work sheets
Mood boards and color cards
Sketches and color rendering of the new styles according to the collection structure
Work with all members of Design, Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design teams and collaborate in creating design proposal for areas needed
Support the design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Head of Designer to ensure alignment priorities and direction
Realization of technical sheet, graphics, seasons book and drawings
Samples and production’s check and fitting in office
Exhibitions, fashion show, technical presentations and lookbook
Visual team support
Requirements
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Fashion and/or Design Arts
Strong attitude and understanding of fashion product, style and graphic trends
Highly creative with a clear understanding of the Guess Brand DNA
Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and design calendar
Team player
Natural good attitude interaction with all departments involved in the product process
Dynamic personality, fast thinker, positive attitude
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good knowledge of computer skills: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are mandatories; extensive computer experience in and any other graphic program will be a plus.
