- CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define a clear vision and objectives for IS in MOLM that engages division management
- Design, implement, and communicate a Division IS strategy and architecture to achieve this vision
- Design, build and lead a Division IS function to support the MOLM division strategy and needs, building on existing resources Leverages appropriate common IS services from BA IS and core IS services from group.
- Co-create with business lines, functions and other process owners, the needed technical requirements for different process and data areas and builds and maintains the portfolio of technical solutions (IS products and services) to support division operations and, where needed, service products
- Drive the digitalization of MOLM internal operations by challenging the organization and by bringing the latest digital technologies into practical use
- Be accountable for delivery of distinct IS solution/service/support within own Division aligned with business objectives and within agreed budget, time, and quality.
- Responsible for managing the lifecycle of the relevant IS assets and services
- Own division IS project portfolio and ensures its delivery against business strategy and objectives
- Responsible for delivery of Common Services assigned to Division as applicable
- Continuously improve the division IS processes and ways of working based on consumer and employee feedback, surveys, CSI, process framework, business demands, defined RACIs, etc.
- Partner with business stakeholders and division/function management to map business demands to existing or new IS solutions in area of responsibility
- Ensure that IS performance or the division is regularly reported and reviewed
- Set performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Provide effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance
- Actively manage IS spend, costs allocation and rolling forecast. Ensure financial accuracy and transparency to optimize controllable IS spend and ensure value added investments
- LICENSE TO OPERATE
- Chair division IS governance with key division and IS stakeholders to validate investments and strategic priorities for division
- Ensure all employees in the division IS understand safety and integrity standards and act accordingly
- Contribute to effective risk management and mitigation
- Adherence to Corporate IS Policies and Procedures, as well as to both internal regulations and external legislation falls within the area of responsibility of the role
- For assigned tasks, execute all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification.
- Ensure that a framework of policies, standards, processes, and practices are in place to guide provision of IT services
- Assure alignment of ABB IS Strategy to Core, Business and Functions strategies
- STAKEHOLDER / PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Ensure (with HR Manager support) the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Proactively work to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts
- Engage and influence relevant stakeholders (incl. senior management) to ensure division IS portfolio and services delivery in line with agreed business objectives & strategy
- Drive IS communications towards local end users (including for global IS communications, surveys, directives, and other global initiatives).
- Drive and support effective change management to represent global IS organization and Business IS organizations to the division stakeholders/customers/consumers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 15+ years of professional experience in Business (Demand side) IS with gained, ideally, in a global, cross-cultural and cross-functional work environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams distributed across geographies
- Experience develop IS strategies and architectures
- Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Excellent Project Management skills and demonstrated experience in managing activities within a complex environment and with a matrix organization
- Proven organizational and planning skills with attention to accuracy and detail, high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently in a fast-changing industry.
