You will handle the operational Sourcing- activities for specific opportunities in the local PG Tendering team. In this role you are acting as a sparring partner for the Technical Sales, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Sales for handling the subcontracted scope of supply of large projects in PG Packaging. You are supporting to identifying and shortlisting Suppliers, conducting RFQ, aligning T&Cs and, in collaboration with the responsible Category Managers. Thanks to the overview of the running projects, you are, in close collaboration with suppliers, defining priorities and deadlines. During the handover to execution you are providing the pre-aligned offers from suppliers to give them the choice of selection. The procurement team in collaboration with the Project execution team will then take the lead regarding the communication to suppliers.Your responsibilities
Build Sourcing Plan for Projects in Tendering stage, including the definition and compilation of RfQ requirements, Support supplier evaluation and negotiation in close collaboration with Technical Sales, Sales and Supply Chain Management.
Coordinate commercial, contractual (T&Cs), technical and schedule requirements
Prepare contract draft for purchase orders and sound execution to hand over to Purchasing Team.
Collaborate in the Sourcing and Supply Chain Team across locations to use synergies and best practices
Keep an overview of sourcing activities with defined suppliers using defined tools and databases. Contribute to collect relevant offer and supplier data for further processing.
Fostering existing supplier relationships
Ensure data correctness and most current commercial information in business systems and supporting SCM and Sales/Tendering tools.
Your background
Bachelor in engineering with business add-on or BA with additional strong technical background.
Sound operational background in Global Sourcing / Supply chain in industrial business environments
Proven track record in Sourcing processes of engineered products, preferably for project business.
Proficient IT knowledge with focus on MS Office applications and SAP applications
Knowledge of terms and conditions in a typical B2B contract for projects in project business.
A collaborative and solution-focused approach as well as strong communication skills
Fluent written and oral communications in English
Excellent organizational skills and a results-oriented approach
Project Mgmt skills preferable
