As the Strategic Buyer, you will work closely with the Design Operation and Production Operations team, play a vital role in the Purchasing team in a multi-site environment (Switzerland and Canada), with a focus on building relationships with the suppliers, preparing series production and put in place new processes.Responsibilities and Duties:
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Scope : Electronics, Plastics, Mechanical
- Direct Commodities: Conduct thorough analysis of direct commodity requirements and spend.
- Sourcing Strategies: Develop, update, and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize costs and secure reliable supply.
- Supplier Selection: Organize and manage supplier biddings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs). Evaluate responses and lead the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and all stakeholders
- Contracts: Negotiate, create, and manage terms and conditions for contracts with chosen suppliers.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain accurate planning documents and follow-up procedures. Clearly communicate project updates, statuses, and reports to management teams.
- Market Analysis: Continuously analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities within relevant commodity categories.
- 2-4 years of experience with Electronics, Plastics or Metal purchasing
- University degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or another related field.
