We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics electrical hardware.Your Contributions
Develop and implement task-level planning, policy, and reasoning algorithms and architectures for robotic systems operating in semi-structured environments with high uncertainty fully autonomously
Build reusable, modular, and scalable software for robot task planning and execution
Design, simulate, debug, validate, and optimize planning software for real-time execution and safety-critical scenarios
Drive the deployment and continuous improvement of planning and decision-making systems on real hardware
Apply state-of-the-art AI/ML and optimization methods to improve robotic policy performance and adaptability
Collaborate cross-functionally with perception, locomotion, navigation, and systems teams to integrate planning algorithms into robust, production-quality robotic solutions
Contribute to technical roadmaps and help define future architectures for autonomy and robot cognition
Your Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related engineering discipline (PhD a plus)
Proven experience of developing task or motion planning software for robotic systems
Solid understanding of AI planning, decision-making, or policy synthesis (e.g., MDPs, POMDPs, hierarchical planning, behavior trees)
Written and deployed production code in C++ and Python
Ability to develop and deploy production-quality, real-time systems for robotics
Familiarity with ROS or similar robotic middleware frameworks
Experience with robotic simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Mujoco, Genesis)
Comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams, including perception, controls, and hardware
Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Bonus Points
Experience with ROS
Experience with finite state machines, behavior trees and/or optimization algorithms
Experience with task planning with visual language models
You have applied machine learning to train and deploy on real robots.
You have a good understanding of state-of-the-art algorithms in robotics
