- Lead global regulatory compliance and agency certification initiatives
- Develop and implement a robust product compliance program across Product Business Units (PBUs).
- Ensure compliance with UL, IEC/EN EMC, ASHRAE, and other international standards.
- Assure Product Business Units (PBUs) have effective processes in place for tracking, documentation, and post-launch compliance.
- Identify and implement tools (regulatory tracking and data repository tools) to support the product compliance program
- Collaborate with Legal, Government Relations, Procurement, and Engineering teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for interpreting new and evolving regulations.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish best practices, training, and tools for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a centralized database for certifications and compliance documentation.
- Integrate compliance into product development processes and supplier management.
- Coordinate with external labs and internal teams to ensure certification readiness.
- University degree in a technical field (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline)
- Proven track record in regulatory/compliance engineering, with a focus on electronic controls.
- Deep understanding of UL certification requirements and processes, especially for building controls and HVAC applications.
- Strong working knowledge of IEC/EN EMC standards and testing (e.g., EN 61000 series).
- Proven ability to manage product compliance and certifications from concept through launch.
- Excellent project management, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

- Professional certification related to product safety/compliance (e.g. UL Certified Functional Safety Professional).
- Experience in BMS or HVAC control product development.
- Familiarity with international certification schemes (CE, UKCA, CB Scheme).
- Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and regulatory integration in product development.
- Basic understanding of software safety classifications, or EMC considerations
