- Acts as sparring partner to the Front Management in front-risk topics related to the whole client/business relationship lifecycle. E.g.: assists with selected cases related to prospects, existing relationships or account openings (e.g. as a result of identified red flags, e.g. adverse media exposure, reputational issues, ESG exposure, complex or opaque structures, sensitive industries, etc.)
- Prepares the Market Risk Reporting, participates and leads the market risk sessions with regard to risk management topics
- Identifies awareness/training needs when analyzing the risk report findings, prepares and contributes to risk training and awareness campaigns content and supports communication within the frontline
- Participates and supports in projects carried out within the market (provide risk related advice, conducts reviews)
- Ensures that front related issues as identified by 2LoD, internal/external audit and regulators are remediated in a timely and sustainable manner
- Follows-up with Front Office on overdue items or escalation of 1LoD recurring tasks and controls where necessary monitors risks, manages incidents and remediation measures/projects
- Enables supervisory roles to initiate appropriate measures together with stakeholders in case of negative control results (if deemed appropriate), defines and monitors risk mitigating measures
- Ensures close and systematic collaboration/information flow between the 1LoD and the 2LoD. Close collaboration with the Market Business Management team is a key aspect with respect to the delineation of roles and transparency on tasks
- Coordinates closely with other FRM teams and interacts closely with various internal stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Legal, IWMS, Internal Controlling etc.), depending on the topics
- University degree or equivalent education in Banking, Compliance, Law, Risk Management or Business Administration
- At least 5-7 years of professional experience in Front Risk Management, Business Support, Compliance, Legal or Audit
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of flexibility and adaptability to changes
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience and/or pre-knowledge in the Swiss market would be a plus
- Proficient in English/French; and German would be preferred, other languages would be a plus
- Ability to work on own initiative, willing to take on responsibility
- Ability to oversee complexity and to work under high pressure
- Professional and convincing communication skills with stakeholders in various roles and functions
- Decisive, well organized, proactive and act with care and assertiveness
