We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intermediate QA Tester with experience in manual, API, and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in Payments and Statement Processing, coupled with proven expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Insomnia. Experience in automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress in Java is a strong plus. The candidate should be passionate about quality, capable of verifying backend logs, and comfortable working in Agile teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.Tasks
Analyse requirements and create well-structured, reusable test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
Conduct manual testing of payment flows, transaction validation, and statement generation features
Validate data accuracy across systems including statement formats, balances, and reconciliation
Perform end-to-end testing across APIs, UI, and backend for payment and statement-related workflows
Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Verify backend logs (e.g., application/server logs) to support debugging and validate system behaviour
Perform comprehensive API testing using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Insomnia
Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, ensure resolution, and participate in defect triage
Support test data preparation, environment setup, and test execution planning
Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and automation frameworks
RequirementsMust-Have Skills:
5–7 years of QA experience in the software industry
Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle and QA methodologies
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Experience in testing payment formats such as SWIFT MT, ISO 20022 (e.g., pain.001, pain.008), and bank statements like MT940, MT942, or similar financial messaging standards
Proficiency in test case design and execution
Strong knowledge in API testing, including request validation, response verification, and authentication mechanisms
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or Insomnia
Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Xray , Zephyr, TestRail, or similar
Good understanding of database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries
Experience verifying and analyzing application/server logs for issue investigation
Strong communication and analytical skills
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
Programming experience with Java for test automation
Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven
