- Procurement of material and services, inside and outside CERN, necessary to the production of 220 new SNIFFER modules
- Placing and following-up of orders
- Follow up of manufacture and assembly phases, including the production of prototypes
- Developing test procedures and defining: acceptance test, acceptance criteria, quality assurance
- Carrying out integration tests of modules in Test Platform before deployment on-site
- Technical test and acceptance tests on-site
- Drawing up estimates and monitoring prices
- Monitoring the progress of work and controlling quality, schedule and budget
- Preparing project information, drafting and verifying technical documentation
- Defining maintenance plans (repairs and modification) and spare parts policies
- Follow up of on site works up to commissioning and handover to Operations
- Participation to project and coordination meetings
- Excellent team-working attitude
- Previous professional experience on production, assembly, testing and commissioning
- Previous professional experience in the Safety Systems domain could be considered an asset
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage
- Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays.
- Work in Radiation Areas.
- Interventions in underground installations.
- A valid driving licence.
- Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organization.
- A monthly stipend ranging between 6194 and 6808 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
- Coverage by CERN's comprehensive health scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
- Depending on your individual circumstances: installation grant; family, child and infant allowances; payment of travel expenses at the beginning and end of contract.
- 30 days of paid leave per year.
- On-the-job and formal training at CERN as well as in-house language courses for English and/or French.
- You are a national of a
- a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
