- Identifying possible failure modes and defining robust contingency Control Laws to maintain safe flight
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers and mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs.
- Defining and running computer simulations for the platforms. (e.g., Matlab & Simulink).
- Work Package Management of a defined scope: actively driving the project work forward to achieve the agreed deliverables on time and within budget.
- Ensuring the integration of the GNC algorithms with the embedded system and executing validation testing.
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in one of the following: GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 3+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering
- Strong applied math foundations; ability to derive algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control (GNC)
- Experience in linear and non-linear feedback control system design
- Experience with Kalman filtering
- Experience with sensor fusion algorithms
- Experience with simulation development
- Experience in C development for embedded systems
- Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling effective collaboration and code management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
