We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager, Content Marketing for a 12-month maternity cover to lead the development and activation of high-impact content that positions Johnson Controls as a thought leader in smart buildings. This is a pivotal role in shaping our narrative across our content channels; from paid to social, and through to events—driving awareness, engagement, and growth.How will you do itDrive Content Strategy & PlanningOwn annual content campaign map for the marketing squad, aligning with global business priorities and leadership themesCommunicate and coordinate with global marketing teams and related support functions to ensure content plan can be leveraged. Ensure coordinated planning, review and update approach to ensure local content plans are in sync and activated with the global toolkit deliverables in all key markets globally.Develop and execute a global content strategy that supports our smart buildings agenda, including global studies, value proposition content, podcasts, white papers, webinar content and related support materialsDevelop quarterly briefs for weekly social adverts, working closely with squad and other marketing squads to drive the leadership agenda of Johnson Controls.Create Compelling ContentCraft compelling content across formats: blog posts, social media, email, podcasts, webinars, and sales enablement materials.Leverage modern content tools—including AI-powered platforms—to accelerate content creation.Lead and collaborate on the development of content deliverables with input from subject matter experts, business stakeholders and functional team members.Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across all touchpoints. Share regular progress updates and lead regular cadence calls to ensure input and alignment across stakeholders and teamsManage internal and external creative resources to deliver high-quality, on-brand content.Activation & OptimizationDrive best practice activation and/or hand-over to campaign or digital marketing teams.Track content planning with business units across all the major business themes and strategic priorities to ensure alignment with messaging and approach.Partner with cross-functional teams to align content with customer journeys and campaign goals.Advocate for content excellence and innovation across the organization. Ensuring content accuracy, brand consistency, and quality across all formats and channels—while managing complex toolkits and multi-stakeholder inputs.What we look forRequired5+ years of experience in global B2B content marketing, ideally in tech or building solutions.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic content plans that drive measurable impact.Strong storytelling skills with a portfolio of content that demonstrates creativity and clarity.Excellent written and spoken English language skills are a must.Excellent communication and project management skills in complex, fast-paced environments.Deep understanding of global campaign planning, customer journeys, and activation best practices.Highly organized with a sharp eye for detailPreferredExperience in the building technology industry.Native-level fluency in English.!!
