- Lead, coach and develop the Transport & Customs team CH
- Develop and execute transportation strategies to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Supervision and improvement of the performance of the forwarding agencies, suppliers, and packing company according to defined SIM1 KPI’s.
- Coordination and organization of required packing according to internal standards or customer specifications.
- Issuance of required shipping documents as per customer specifications and/or country regulations and/or letter of credit (L/C) to ensure smooth shipment and customs clearance as well as to secure punctual payment.
- Inform Project Manager and Invoicing department about Incoterm completion so that invoices can be issued and revenues can be generated
- Assist Sales and Project Managers in checking purchase orders regarding packing and shipping requirements.
- Arrange governmental approval of documents at chambers of commerce and/or consulates, clearance, and on-site deliveries.
- Check logistics-related supplier invoices regarding their correctness.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and customs management, preferably in a global supply chain environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within transport and customs management.
- Solid understanding of global customs regulations, HS codes, Incoterms, and trade compliance.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills; ability to lead by example.
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in German; proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- SAP S/4HANA experience is an advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
