This hands-on role involves a wide range of tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of our buildings and grounds.This is a dynamic position ideal for a multiskilled professional with proven experience in general maintenance, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to quality workmanship across a variety of technical areas.Main Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a facility maintenance or general handyman role
Proven abilities in gardening, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance
Practical experience in painting, minor construction, and repair work
Additional competencies in electrical systems, plumbing, tiling, or carpentry are strong assets
Comfortable operating and maintaining manual and motorised maintenance equipment
Languages: Fluency in French required; English is an asset
Strong sense of responsibility and autonomy
Detail- and quality-oriented approach
Flexible and adaptable to seasonal tasks and event support
Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team knowledge-sharing
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain campus gardens, lawns, and green spaces year-round
Ensure snow removal from access roads, walkways, and parking areas in winter
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings and infrastructure, including classrooms, student housing, kitchens, and recreational areas
Monitor and maintain the proper condition of maintenance equipment, tools, and campus vehicles
Participate in annual and seasonal maintenance planning in coordination with the Head of the department
Support the setup and logistical needs for campus events such as graduations, conferences, and student-led activities
