Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionThe associate Medical Science Partner (aMSP) is a hybrid medical expert role (field-based with additional medical tasks in the office) dedicated to the disease area Ophthalmology with responsibility for all of Switzerland. The role is embedded in the Swiss Affiliate and includes 40-60% in-field work (locally in all of Switzerland and travel to international congresses).As associate Medical Science Partner (aMSP) you are responsible for fostering long-term relationships with Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) as Roche medical point of contact. You take care of the scientific exchange and collaboration, sensing medical trends in the market, as well as shaping the evolution of the clinical ecosystem.On top you are driving the execution of medical activities and solutions from end to end (e.g. medical event management) and you are supporting the senior Medical Science Partner with regard to medical customer engagement, shaping the medical strategy as well as the execution of medical activities and solutions.Your challenge includes:Interaction with TAEs and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in order to understand their perspectives and needs and identify areas of scientific interest and collaborationExecuting medical activities and solutions (end-to-end) in the field and at the office in support of and close collaboration with the the senior Medical Science Partner and the Medical Science ManagersIn-field:Providing scientific presentations to external audiences, exchange with TAEs/HCPs to discuss data and understand their perspectives and needs for information, execution of medical activities at congresses and other scientific events, discuss, evaluate and follow-up on scientific collaboration projects with HCPs and lead and support medical advisory boardsOffice-based:Support the Medical Science Managers in generating scientific material and supporting the clearance of promotional material, administration of sponsoring and HCP contracts, education and support for internal audienceWho you areAs a qualified candidate you bring a MD, PharmD or PhD in life sciences and prior experience in the field of Ophthalmology.This is what you bring on top:Excellent skills in customer collaborationGreat communication and presentation skillsExpertise as medical field function (experienced in customer interactions) is an advantageSeveral years of experience in Medical Affairs preferredFluent in German and English; French preferredRoche Pharma (Switzerland) Ltd is a part of the Roche Group based in Basel.
