- Certification: Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is essential
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a network administration or engineering role within a Cisco-focused environment
- Technical Competencies:
- Proven expertise in Cisco switching technologies (Catalyst, Meraki)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless environments, including Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Access Points
- Proficiency with Cisco monitoring tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center
- Understanding ofX Network Access Control protocol * Soft Skills:- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Clear communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional IT and project teamsMain Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: Collaborate with IT architects and senior engineers to develop network solutions tailored to business needs. Deploy, configure, and optimize Cisco hardware and software, including routers, switches and wireless controllers.
- Network Maintenance and Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance using Cisco monitoring tools and protocols. Respond promptly to network incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of connectivity issues.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose hardware and software faults, leveraging CCNA-level knowledge to resolve issues.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the network adheres to organizational security policies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents, and assist in preparing reports for management.
- Network Upgrades: Plan and execute upgrades to Cisco network infrastructure, including hardware refreshes, IOS upgrades, and integration of new Cisco solutions.
